The postseason for college basketball kicked off with a couple of ASUN Tournament games on Sunday night as the race to secure automatic NCAA Tournament spots officially commenced. ASUN action will proceed on Monday with quarterfinal matchups as the top six seeds join the competition.
No. 1 seed Lipscomb is set to take on No. 10 seed Central Arkansas after it triumphed over no. 9 seed Stetson 77-72 in an exciting contest on Sunday. In another first-round game,No. 7 Austin Peay dominated No. 8 seed North Florida 90-69 and advanced to face No. 2 seed North Alabama in a quarterfinal clash.
The other quarterfinals feature No. 4 seed Jacksonville against No.5 seed Eastern Kentucky and No. 3 seed Florida Gulf Coast facing off against No. 6 seed Queens. All ASUN quarterfinal games are being held at the home venue of the higher-seeded team. The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, followed by the championship game on sunday.
Additional conference tournaments are set to begin Tuesday, when the Big South, Patriot League, and sun Belt commence their respective tournaments. Each of these competitions is expected to be fiercely contested as every conference will send only one representative to the NCAA Tournament.

This week will see more conference tournaments kick off as March Madness begins leading up to Selection Sunday for the NCAA Tournament on March16th . As results from these tournaments come in , we’ll keep track of them here as teams start claiming automatic bids for entry into NCAA Tournament.
