A number of players were dismissed following a confrontation during the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 146-132 victory against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. The altercation originated from Spurs forward Julian Champagnie attempting to drive past defending Thunder forward Kenrich Williams by swinging his elbows.
One of the elbows appeared to have made contact — or nearly made contact — with Williams, who reacted by confronting Champagnie face-to-face. Teammates rushed in to support both players, creating a crowd that ultimately resulted in pushing, shoving, and yelling.
